Das Awkshfescht (August Festival) is an annual festival held in Macungie, PA. As we go into Autumn in Pennsylvania, it's nice to recall some of the pleasant memories of the late summer!

This is one of the larger antique and classic automobile shows in eastern Pennsylvania.

Plenty of Corvettes.

General Motors area - featuring a 1952 Oldsmobile.

Airplane-nosed 1950 Studebaker.

Senior autos.

1952(?) Chevy with running lights and sun visor.

The oldest antique automobiles are shown above. There was also an antique toy show, music by live bands, a craft show, and plenty of good carnival food. Buses are available to transport visitors from one area to another.

Brian,
Thanks for the nice pics and boy toys!!! Thanks, Fran
Brian, I love the color of the Mustang in the first photo. We used to have a '67 Corvette Convertible Stingray that color when I still lived in NYC. We sold it when baby #1 came along because it didn't really fit a car seat!
Hi Brian...good to be able to talk to you!
I think my Dad had a 52 Chevy. That car looked awfully familiar!
Hi Fran, Nice to hear from you!
Jeannie, I like the color of the Mustang, too. I remember that dark red (maroon?) color of the Corvett Stingrays. I had a bright red 1966 Stingray myself with a white convertible top! Fastest car I ever owned...
Hi Joan, that Chevrolet is one of my favorite cars, too. My father was an Oldsmobile man, but the Olds was built on the same chassis as the Chevy.
Brian,
I always enjoy reading your posts about car shows so much....I'll pass this one along to my Dad too, just as I have your previous ones.
Beautiful photos and it looks like you had a beautiful day for the show. Seeing the people in shorts makes me long to have summer back. We're at the point of winter jackets here...
Jo
Hi Jo,
It's always nice to see your comments! It's getting colder here, too - heavy jackets needed early in the morning, usually warming up in the afternoon -
Brian
Brian - Pretty cool cars! My husband would love to go to an event like this... :)
Thanks, Debi. This has been one of my favorite events of the year.
Those are some sweet rides! I grew up not too far from there. I still miss it sometimes.
Keith, they are definitely sweet rides. It was a beautiful day for a classic auto show.
Brian - A friend of mine built a 1934 Ford from a kit so we go to car shows to see all the others on display. We love it.
Suzanne, I have a lot of respect for anyone who can build a real car from a kit! As a kid I built many model autos from kits because I loved the classic cars.
