When I joined ActiveRain a year and a half ago, there were some 12,000 members. Blogging was relatively new, but I had a suspicion that this platform, which made it easy to navigate the technical challenges of blogging, was going to be a popular place for both professionals and the public. In any case, I thought it would be a good place to learn something, while finding my own blogging voice.
Boy, did I underestimate the unprecedented growth and popularity of ActiveRain! There has been some 800% increase in membership since I got involved - not a shabby feat. And the quality of the blogging, far from deteriorating with the huge increase in membership, has steadily grown more sophisticated!
Congratulations to the ActiveRain guys for the great success that their vision has produced.

I remember reading about Blogging the first time on Realtor magazine and the sound of that funny word was strange, but little did we all know it would spread like fire and do the amazing things it's doing.

Royal, I used to look at RealTalk and eProTalk. I don't go to RealTalk at all any more, and I just skim eProTalk now. ActiveRain has much more useful (and more easily searched) content.
It is really growing by leaps and bounds. One of the best things I have done in my career.

I think you and I joined about the same time in early 2007 and what a change in my real estate career. Like you said the best of the business are here and friends I've met across this great country (Including yourself) has been amazing.
