Brian, Beautiful pictures...I recognize the Greist Building...at least I think it is the one in the bottom photo. Very pretty architecture~the brick tower next to the Greist Building (in the second and third photos from the bottom) particularly caught my eye.
My Stepmother is a retired teacher and is now a well-known artist (beautiful watercolours) in this area. Three of her paintings were just accepted to the Belleville Art Association's juried exhibition called Up and Away...they are on display in the library. Two of them are paintings she did on her recent trip to Sicily and one is of a local barn.
One of her paintings called 'Maple Leaves'.....
I took art all through school alongside my sciences and have decided to take it back up this fall by joining a local watercolour class....especially so that I can paint some of the beautiful old houses and buildings in my area.
thanks for writing these posts where you take the reader on tours of your local area, Brian.....they're very enjoyable and the pictures enable the reader to feel as though they are right there touring with you.

Jo, you're correct, the last photo is of the art deco Greist Building, seen over the tower of the Lancaster Central Market.
Your stepmother's watercolor is quite good... Good luck with your art classes - I'll look forward to seeing some of your own efforts!

What a fun event! We have similar events here in Bradenton - Sarsota, Florida. Art is a big part of our local interest.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post, No One Can Stop You, But You, and for making a comment.
Jennifer, I'm sure you would have enjoyed the day. As far as purchases go, my favorite purchase of the day in that hot sun was the bottle of cold water!
Dan, thank you for stopping by. We have a number of art related events in Lancaster County. I enjoyed your post, too.
Brian...thanks for your comment on my recent AR post and for the pictorial of Lancaster. I'm a Penna boy myself. (Went to Slippery Rock for college)
