Lancaster County PA Realty Check: September 2007

Autumn's Almost Here!

I do like the autumn!  I’ll be happy to see a break in the heat.  I love country drives to areas with colorful fall foliage.  Two events that I like to be able to get to are the Fall Hershey Antique Auto Show and flea market, and the Fall Carlisle Classic Car Corral.  Each of them attracts RVs and people from all over the world.  There are literally thousands of dealers in attendance, selling everything from cars to auto parts to antiques, books, food, antique toys, and flea market items of all kinds.  It’s really a very exciting atmosphere.

I also love our local fall atmosphere, like the  farm markets with pumpkins and gourds out on display.  There are wonderful scenic and historic places in Lancaster County to tour in the fall as well.

I lived in Williamsport for five years, and there were beautiful places to drive through in the surrounding mountains, including Eaglesmere, way up in north central PA, which has some spectacular scenery, a lake, and a lodge.  The atmosphere is very similar to the Pocono Mountains in eastern Pennsylvania.
